Kona Kare* Essensual lip butter balm uses 100% natural flavouring with Monoi De Tahiti Oil as their main ingredient. Monoi De Tahiti is a French Polynesian natural ingredient made by macerating 10 Tiare flower blossoms in refined coconut oil. Only mature coconuts from the cocos nucifera trees are used in the production of Monoi de Tahiti oil. More details can be found on their website here: http://www.konakare.com
The packaging is just like a generic lip balm where you twist from the bottom to get more product out. As for the actual product itself, the formula is amazing. It actually does feel like “butter” on your lips. It’s really moisturizing which is great for the colder winter months as your lips do tend to dry up during this season. I don’t believe I’ve tried anything with the Monoi de Tahiti ingredient but I do however think it’s very similar to using virgin coconut oil (texture/feel wise.. if that makes sense).
I’ve been wearing this consistently for the past week and I’m the type of person that constantly has flaky lips (eww lip skins) and it’s really irritating when using lipstick. I wouldn’t say my lips are baby smooth now but I do notice a positive difference in the amount of flakies I have (soo gross).
The flavours I received are French Vanilla and Original. French Vanilla smells absolutely amazing. I love French Vanilla everything and I was pretty excited I got this flavour. Imagine a warm cup of french vanilla cappuccino.. the butter balm smells exactly like it. As for original, it actually doesn’t smell like anything. I’d say it’s great for men when they don’t want to have that sort of feminine smell.
These balms retail for $10 but if you order now, you can actually get them for $5! The overall product is great and I do recommend it for people with chapped/constantly dry lips. Although I do wish it also came in a pot as well rather than a stick balm.. only because I enjoy lip balms in pots :)
Have any of you tried a product with Manoi de Tahiti in it?

Missglamorazzi (on youtube) did a video on how to make a brush holder using an old candle. I only wish she made this tutorial sooner so I didn’t have to throw out my old one! The only supplies you’ll need is a butter knife, a finished candle, hot water, dish soap and water to clean and some vase filler beads.
1. You want to start off with a finished candle. Put it in the fridge so that the wax hardens when you break it apart.
2. After about a day or a few hours, take the candle out of the fridge and let it settle for a couple minutes. Then take your butter knife, carve out the edges, and take apart the pieces of the wax until you get out all the wax.
3. Now you’re left with the three wicks glued to the bottom of the jar. Take very hot water and pour it into the jar and leave it for about a minute so the glue will melt.
4. After about a minute, take your butter knife and scrape out the wicks. It’ll be easy because the glue is mushy.
5. Now wash all the gunk out in the sink with soap and peal all the stickers off and VOILA! You have a clean and empty jar.
6. Take your vase fillers, fill the jar 1/3 of the way, and stick your brushes in it!
Here is the link to Ingrid’s video: “GIY (Glam It Yourself) Makeup Brush Holders!“
She took it a step further and added glitter.
I decided to keep it simple.. and sephora-esque.
Hope you enjoyed!

My Name Necklace* is an online website where you’re able to order a necklace in your own name! It’s totally customizable because you’re able to choose from a variety of styles and colours. The necklace that I chose is in the “Carrie” style in sterling silver. The price range is from $30 to over $100 depending on the actual chain you decide on getting. But the Carrie style I chose in sterling silver was only $33.95.
My full name isn’t Donna, but actually Donnadehl and I’ve always wanted a necklace or a bracelet in my name. Obviously my full name isn’t common and having this website for people with unique names is really great. Take note that you don’t necessarily have to order a necklace in your own name, but you can do a nickname, your lover’s name (hehe), etc.
I’ve been wearing this necklace for about a week now and the necklace hasn’t faded. I can’t imagine it fading into a rusty colour since it is sterling silver, but if it does, I’ll update this post asap. I chose the 16″ chain because I personally prefer chains that don’t go lower than my chest so people will be able to actually see the pendent (or in this case, my name). It’s very light and does not weigh anything at all. You can’t even feel it on your neck as the actual name is very thin.
I’d say this gift is perfect for the holidays because it’s a customize gift that most people would appreciate. The site is currently offering free shipping guaranteeing your necklace will arrive before Christmas.
Would you buy yourself or anyone you know a name necklace?

Hi Everyone! Welcome to my new blog!
I decided to change my blog name along with the blog host. I’ve been hearing many benefits to WordPress and I wanted to give it a try. I’ve also been wanting to change my domain for a while now, but haven’t had any ideas until now. I think “brunch with papi” is quite possibly my favourite domain name since I do connect with it on a personal level.
This blog with be a mix of lifestyle and beauty reviews. Pretty much the same as my last blog “Donna Dell”, but I feel that my blog has some “theme” now with the domain name.
Anyway I’m pretty excited!! I’ll be updating weekly. Hope you all enjoy :)
